Pause, almost over?

Pause, almost over?

So, you have noticed my absence and missed me!

I have been so busy with my father moving, getting ready to sell his old house (the one I still live in), and enjoying the weather (not really, my allergies are killing me), and teaching Tiny, that I haven't posted anything new in quite some time! Since he moved, we have realized that autopay on for the internet stopped when we all of the sudden had no internet! GASP!!! (dramatically puts back of hand to forehead and faints)

Hope for COPD is important to me, so I will be back full blast in September. After the internet outage, I came back online to several thousand emails which I promptly deleted versus trying to sift through all of them. I will be scheduling all tweets for September and October this month because I will be moving at the end of August or sometime in September, down to Missouri with my father, unless plans change.

If you have emailed me and need to speak with me, or would like to work on a collaborative post, please email me. Also, if you would like to write a guest post, about your experience with having COPD I would LOVE to help you get your story out! (I love hearing your personal experiences as well) so even if you do not want it posted, I would love to hear it!)

We have such a variety of different experiences that could help someone else better adjust to living with COPD, that even if you do not want your story published, it could serve as a reference for me in conversation with someone else.

Can't wait to be back full time! I have really missed you all!

Am I Unworthy Of Love Because I Have COPD?

Another Update!

So, things are kinda crazy in my life right now. Most of you know about the move, I still haven't made... Too many loose ends to tie up before I can do that. Had a friend that needed a place to stay, she stole from me, and has tried to cause trouble for me. Oh well... Won't be helping her again. This old house is FULL of stuff from my parents and I have to find a way to get rid of all of the things left here, get the yard in order, and all presentable. Thing is I have zero help. So, I have to hire help to take care of everything. Good help is hard to find.

Also, some of you might remember my trip from hell last summer... Well, I am going again. Call me crazy, I know. Haha. Just can't let my father go alone. Hoping to get over this massive chest cold before we leave on Friday. Remember, if you have COPD, you want to take an expectorant, NOT a suppressant. An expectorant will help thin the mucus in your lungs and you will be better able to cough it out. A suppressant, stops …

6 Tips for proper COPD medication adherence

8 Tips for proper COPD medication adherence

Taking your medication on time, at the right times, throughout the day will benefit you more than taking them at random when ever you remember to take them. Some people really struggle to remember how to take them as advised, and of course, to even bother taking them at all.

I cannot tell you how many times I have forgotten to take them until it was almost bedtime!

Here are my top 6 tips on how to take your medications properly, and on time.

Write the directions down on a piece of paper in the order that your doctor recommends you take them. You can also type them out on your computer using a font that appeals to use and enlarge them to fit 1 sheet of paper. Print that paper and put it in a plastic sheet protector. No matter how you do this, keep the list in the place you spend the most time in your home. Maybe that is the kitchen, on the end table next to your favorite chair in the living room, in the wall in the bathroom, or on the wall in yo…
